PART TIME EVENT PLANNER

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We’re expanding our team and have an immediate need for an experienced event planner/coordinator to coordinate client weddings and special events. This person should have a proven track record of successful event management and be committed to upholding the high standard of service our clients expect from us. This is a part time position with the potential to grow into full time.

Responsibilities

  • Independently oversee and manage all aspects & deliverables for client events
  • Liaise with clients to identify their needs and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Organize venues and manage all event details such as décor, catering, entertainment, transportation, guests, and equipment
  • Ensure all event stakeholders and VIP needs are met
  • Ensure compliance with legal and safety issues including any rules of the event venue
  • Manage on-site event staff
  • Proactively and professionally handle any arising issues and troubleshoot emerging problems on event day

Requirements

  • Proven event management experience, preferably at weddings
  • Must be able to “think on your feet” and thrive in high stress situations
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Portfolio of previously managed events
  • Willing to submit references from previous clients
  • Willing to work nights and weekends

​Compensation will reflect candidate’s experience. Potential to earn sales commission.
