So you just got engaged and are eager to get the planning under way. Do these 3 things before you set a date to eliminate planning headaches before they occur.
1) Create a Budget. Thinking about budget when planning what will probably be the most expensive party you've ever thrown can be daunting. But if you never set a budget you'll never know if you've blown it. And everything from guest list to flowers is affected by your budget. Get your plan off to the right start by at least having a ballpark number in mind. 2) Create a Guest List. If you've no idea where to start on budget putting together a guest list is a great starting point. Your reception cost is always calculated per head and it's the biggest chunk of your wedding budget. Plus you need to know how many you are expecting before you pick and lock into a date at a venue. Don't commit to a venue that holds 100 and then end up with 150 people on your guest list. Yikes! 3) Create Your Vision. Sure you've been dreaming of this day since you were a little girl but transferring your vision to something tangible to share with your fiancé (It is his wedding too!) and vendors will make your life so much easier. No one is a mind reader and with tools like Pinterest it's never been easier to share your dream wedding with others.
